            Robert S. Fields, DDS has been practicing general dentistry in Van Nuys, California  for  36 years.  After getting his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Public Health at UCLA,  he  traveled  across town to earn his DDS at USC in 1971. 

Dr. Fields is assisted by two part-time general dentists, a periodontist and an endodontist.   The  outstanding  long-time, bilingual staff  are  caring people and who work hard to achieve the goals stated on Dr. Fields’ mission statement.  We provide the highest quality of general dental care possible to our patients and treat them like friends.  We strive to promote healthy dental habits in our patients.  We help the needy and underprivileged in our community.           

Dr. Fields provides the following services in the practice including: general and reconstructive dentistry, prosthodontics, mini-implants, and treatment of certain TMJ disorders.  Additionally, his practice  offers cosmetic dentistry including full mouth bleaching, porcelain veneers, and resin-based fillings.  And finally, the practice is fortunate to have a  Periodontist on staff for specialty gum treatment as well as an Endodontist for specialty root canal treatment so that the patient does not have to travel elsewhere when these services are needed.Dr. Fields is a long-time member the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the San Fernando Valley Dental Association and is also on the Advisory Board of the Dental Technology Program at Los Angeles City College..He is very active in his community.  

Dr. Fields is a member of the Mid-Valley Police Council, the Mid Valley Business Watch, a Board Member of the Jeopardy Foundation, a member of the Mid Valley Chamber of Commerce,  an elected Board Member of the Van Nuys Neighborhood Council, a fund raiser for the YMCA, and donates his dental services to Children of the Night. Dr. Fields has been married for 39 years to Sharilyn.  He has two wonderful children, Scott, a surgeon and Jennifer, a CPA, and two grandchildren.  He enjoys golf and tennis.
